PRODUCT TEST ENGINEER

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000

Our client are a reputable technology company, specialising in state of the art technology for their huge client base, which span across Europe. Due to further expansion, Cassidy Crane Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Product Test Engineer to join this dynamic team.

 

Our Client develop a number of personal safety devices for the lone worker market. The successful candidate will work alongside the Business Operations Manager to support the existing product range while also testing new products that are in development.

 

Duties

• Liaising with third party manufacturers and suppliers on a daily basis to discuss new, ongoing and future development requirements.

• Product testing and maintaining quality control

• Ensuring products comply with all relevant standards and legislation.

• Writing product documentation.

• Various Product Support administration functions, including interaction with other departments within the business.

 

Requirements

• Electrical engineering background

• Previous experience of product testing.

• Project management experience.

• Must be capable of writing clear documentation.

• Professional communications skills via both telephone and email.

• Competent IT skills.

• You will have a keen eye for detail and ability to use own initiative.

 

Desirable

• Previous experience of GSM/GPS based electronic product testing.

• Good understanding of GPS/GPRS, associated protocols.

• Basic/functional understanding of hardware components such as GSM antenna, GPRS chip and general PCB.
